Darcy’s Blog – On the road again!

Okay, so I’m going to combine weeks three and four because my life was turned upside down two weeks ago. My husband came in on a Thursday evening and announced that he had been assigned to a new store and that he had to report on October 31st. I was also scheduled to work out of town for three weeks. My life has been anything but normal. So, I did get on the scale before I left last Monday and had no weight loss or gain. I’m okay with that. I did not however get to weigh in this week because the scale and internet are packed up….I am weighing here at work (I don’t like this scale, it weighs about two to three pounds heavier) and there was no change from last week. I did get in four days of exercise last week. Last Sunday 30 October, I ran another 5K and finished with a personal best time! Woo Hoo! I’m still proud of me for that. The hotel has a treadmill (which I don’t like) and cycle, so I am working out here as well. I had planned on doing a 10K Turkey Trot in Albuquerque for Thanksgiving, but I will no longer live in New Mexico at that time. So I will adjust my plans again! I will look at the El Paso area and find a 10K run to do there. Eating has been a real challenge, Socorro is a small town that loves their meat, so eating vegan has been totally difficult! I have stayed vegeterian and eat vegan on the weekends. And last but not least, if anyone is following my Fitbit page, I went home last weekend to do laundry, clean and pack up a few things and I washed my New Fitbit!!! Yes, I said washed! So, that page shows no activity for that last four days…..I have ordered a new one, but it won’t come in for a couple of days. That my story for this two weeks….I hope to be able to jump on the scale next weekend, but not sure I will able to. That’s all for now. Will check in again soon. ~ Darcy

Wow, you’ve had a lot of life changing events this week. You’ve done well and are adjusting as much as you can. Keep up the work. Hopefully we can podcast soon to catch up!
